 Matthew operates the Thompson Law Firm, PLLC, emphasizing Family Law; divorce, child custody, support, modifications, contempt and appeals. He began practicing law at Chinn & Associates, PLLC, where he served in the role of Litigation Associate and maintains an association with the Chinn firm.
Matthew maintains a statewide practice, handling cases in Chancery Courts throughout Mississippi. Matthew is an experienced litigator having conducted and participated in numerous multi-day trials, hearings, depositions, mediations and appeals.
Matthew attended Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in 2005. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University. Matthew grew up in Greenwood and Madison, Mississippi. Matthew currently resides in Madison with his wife and two children.
Matthew is President-Elect of the Madison County Bar Association, a volunteer lawyer with the Mississippi Volunteers Lawyer Project and Mission First Legal Aid. Matthew has conducted numerous sessions training lawyers on how to do divorce work and participates in the Wills for Heroes programs. He is board President of his neighborhood association, the U5/6 Commissioner for the South Madison County Soccer Organization and Coach of the Thompson Law Firm FireAnts.
